Coffee 101
Coffee names mean different things around the world. Here's exactly what you'll get when you order each drink from us.
Order Drip Coffee. An Americano is espresso mixed with hot water. It's similar in strength but tastes bolder and roastier.
Hot water dripped slowly through ground coffee. This is the "regular coffee" Americans mean when they say "a cup of coffee." Light-bodied and easy to drink.
A double shot of espresso cut with an equal amount of warm steamed milk and very little foam. Small, smooth and strong, between an espresso and a flat white.
Also called a doppio. Twice the coffee, same small cup. Every espresso drink on our menu starts from shots pulled by hand.
Espresso topped with hot water. Similar strength to drip coffee but a different taste: bolder and roastier. Not the same as drip. Also great iced.
Espresso with a smaller amount of silky steamed milk and a very thin layer of foam. Comes in an 8 ounce cup. Stronger coffee flavor than a latte. A favorite with Australians and Kiwis.
Espresso with steamed milk and a deep cap of airy foam. Lighter and foamier than a latte.
Espresso with plenty of steamed milk and a thin layer of foam. Smooth and mellow. Add any flavor, like macadamia or coconut.
A latte with added chocolate. Choose from classic mocha or white chocolate mocha if you want something sweeter.
Espresso poured over cold milk and ice. Our most popular way to drink coffee in the Waikiki heat.
Coffee grounds steeped in cold water for more than 12 hours, then served over ice. Bold, smooth, chocolatey, and less bitter. Try it with coconut sweet cream.
Stone-ground Japanese green tea whisked and layered with milk. Earthy and lightly sweet.
No coffee IcedBlack tea with warm spices like cinnamon, anise, and cardamom, mixed with milk. Try our Macadamia Chai, the drink guests re-order most.
No coffeeFall in Waikiki
Add any fall flavor to any drink. Holiday drinks arrive in December.
This season: Pumpkin Pie Latte (Kiosk only), Brown Sugar Cinnamon Latte, Macadamia Chai, Coconut Matcha.

Meet the owner
I opened the first Coffee Window on Kuhio Ave in January 2025 with a simple idea: visitors shouldn't have to give up a chunk of their vacation to get a really great cup of coffee. Short wait times and Aloha service.
Our second window opened in February 2026. Same promise at both: fast, friendly and delicious. Come say hello!
“Our go-to for great coffee three days in a row. Easily the best coffee we had in Hawaii. Lovely, friendly team too.”
“Our favorite coffee in Waikiki. Highly recommend the lattes and cold brews. This is what the locals actually drink in the morning.”
